Introducing the Cumberland Sweep, a three-mile multimodal path designed to improve connectivity throughout the core of Cumberland with dedicated walking and biking lanes and an autonomous shuttle network (Cumberland Autonomous Mobility Network) that will make travel easier, more reliable, and safer.
The Sweep will connect to key destinations in the District: The Battery Atlanta, Truist Park, Cumberland Mall, Cobb Convention Center – Atlanta, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA), Bob Callan Trail, Akers Mill Trail, and the Cumberland Bike Share Program.
A Bold Vision
The Sweep, first envisioned by the Cumberland CID Board in 2017, is a bold blueprint for how people will move through Cumberland. The Sweep will transform mobility by creating safe, sustainable, and accessible connections across our community.

Overall, the Hopper had 11,000 riders, with 93% of them feeling safe and supporting the use of more autonomous shuttles for the future of Cumberland.
The Hopper was operated on selected days for a few hours at a time.
